Before you can use BLE beacons (e.g. Kontakt.io, BlueCats, etc) within a desk or meeting room environment, you need to link the sensors to the correct location, level and desk/room.
Follow the instructions below to enable BLE beacon sensors for a space.
Step 1: Login
Login to the Evoko Naso Admin portal using Admin Credentials:https://www.naso.evoko.se/Admin
Step 2: Set Location UUID
From the Locations page, select "EDIT" for the location that you want to enable beacons.
In the UUID field, enter the unique identifier for the location. You can use the UUID provided by your beacon provider.
NOTE: Please remember that each location much have its own unique UUID. If you would like to create a unique identify, you can generate one at this website - UUID Generator
Step 3 : Set major ID for level
Once you have established the UUID for your location, you need to set the Major identifier for each level in your location. From the Locations page, select "VIEW" for the respective location. This then displays the levels for that location.
Click "EDIT LEVEL" on the respective level. In the field for Major identifier" enter the Major ID for the sensor.
Step 4a: Set minor ID for Desk
Once the location and level have been updated, the individual desk can be updated to set the Minor ID which ties the specific sensor to a specific location.
From the list of levels, click on "Manage Desks" to show a list of all desks. Then click "EDIT DESK" on the respective desk.
On the Desk details page, select the "Sensors" tab. This will show the UUID and Major Level that were previously entered. Set the Minor ID of the sensor.
Step 4b: Set minor ID for Room
Once the location and level have been updated, the individual room can be updated to set the Minor ID(s) which tie the specific sensor to a specific location.
From the list of levels, click on "Manage Rooms" to show a list of all rooms. Then click "EDIT ROOM" on the respective room.
On the Room details page, select the "In-room Sensors" tab. This will show the UUID and Major Level that were previously entered. Select the sensor manufacturer and enter the Minor ID of the sensor and click "ADD IDENTIFIER".
Note: For rooms it is possible to enter multiple sensors (it may be large and need many to cover the room).
Step 4c: Set minor ID for Huddle Space
Once the location and level have been updated, the huddle Space can be updated to set the Minor ID(s) which tie the specific sensor to a specific location.
From the list of levels, click on "Manage Huddle Spaces" to show a list of all rooms. Then click "EDIT SPACE" on the respective space.
On the huddle space details page, select the "Sensors" tab. This will show the UUID and Major Level that were previously entered. Select the sensor manufacturer and enter the Minor ID of the sensor and click "ADD IDENTIFIER".
Note: For Huddle spaces it is possible to enter multiple sensors (it may be large and need many to cover the area).
Once you have completed this process, you will need to ensure the hardware sensor is configured for each desk correctly. Refer to the hardware configuration guide to set your sensor device.
