Version v2.1 of Evoko Home introduces a stand-alone booking system called Evoko Booking.
What is Evoko Booking?
Evoko Booking is a stand-alone booking platform that makes it easy for anyone to find and book meeting rooms in a web interface and of course it includes the same smart filters that the Evoko Get a Room App to make it easy to find the appropriate room for your needs.
Since Evoko Booking is a stand-alone platform it doesn't require any integration with an external booking system (e.g. Office 365 or Google G Suite), instead all meetings are stored within Evoko Home.
Evoko Booking is with the release of Evoko Home v2.1 in beta and available for anyone to try out.
Setup Evoko Booking
1. Install Evoko Home on a server
To start using Evoko Booking you will need to install Evoko Home on a server. It's this server the Evoko Liso units will connect to along with users to access the Evoko Booking web interface.

2. Configure Evoko Home to use Evoko Booking
Once you have you're Evoko Home server installed, access the web interface (e.g. http://localhost:3000
).
Start by selecting Evoko Booking (ßeta) as your booking system and then press Next.
Since some features of Evoko Home depends on being able to send emails, Evoko Home will need access to an SMTP server.
Enter an email address and password which will be used as your initial account to sign in.
Enter the https application port you would like to use (default 3002
) and then press Next. Additionally, you can opt to upload your own SSL/TLS certificate (this needs to be done from localhost
and not a remote host) If no certificate is uploaded, a unique auto generated self-singed certificate will be used.
Enter an NTP server (e.g. pool.ntp.org
) that the Evoko Home server and the Evoko Liso units will have access to and then press Next.
Make sure you've made note of your credentials and then press Finish.
3. Administer Evoko Home and connect Evoko Liso units
Once Evoko Home is configured for Evoko Booking you can start adding users/rooms to your installation and then start to connect Evoko Liso units to the server.

Using Evoko Booking
Now that you finally have your Evoko Home server configured and Evoko Liso units up-and-running you can finally start to book meetings. There are mainly two (or three) ways of managing meetings:
Via the web interface
To access the Evoko Booking web interface enter your Evoko Home server base URL followed by /evokobooking
(e.g. https://localhost:3002/evokobooking
) and sign in with your user account.
At the top you'll find filters for the location of the meeting rooms along with room equipment and capacity.
Below the room filters you will find a daily timeline off all rooms which fits according to the filter. To book a meeting simply press on an available slot.
Others meetings will be colored in darker red and your own meetings in bright red. You can edit your own meetings by pressing on them.
On the right side under My bookings you can see all your upcoming meetings.
Via the Liso units
Your meetings will of course appear on the Liso units where you can check-in or edit them along with booking new meetings, see Evoko Liso user guide - how do I use the screen? for more information.
Via the Get A Room App
The Get A Room App is a great way to compliment Evoko Booking as it gives you a mobile client to book meeting rooms and to view your existing meetings. It does however require some additional setup to start using that you can read more about in Get started with the Evoko Get A Room App.
